What is Essential Coaching?

  • 10-weeks of 30 minute phone sessions. The first and last session is 45-minutes.

  • Online coaching platform helps you manage the process including scheduling and resources.

  • Gets clear on intention (the driving force behind your actions).

  • Highlights strengths, values, goals and actions and gets curious about thoughts, behaviors and feelings.

  • An experiment (there are no guarantees in coaching, therapy, etc, it simply isn’t the nature of the work, so start out understanding this and you’re on your way to something already).

  • An opportunity for: reflection, learning, challenging your belief systems, telling yourself the truth facing your limitations, asking yourself what you really want, creating solutions, celebrating your strengths, being held accountable, taking a pause in your life to decide in what direction you would like to shift by making choices and taking responsibility.

  • An opportunity to increase your awareness of what’s working, what’s stuck and what gets in the way.

  • Rooted in: Mindfulness, Eastern and Western Psychological concepts, Wisdom traditions, Positive Psychology,

  • Sometimes challenging and direct.

  • As impactful as you want/allow it to be/the effort you put in.

What essential coaching isn’t.

  • Coaching is not a substitute for mental health care from a licensed professional.

  • The collaboration DOES NOT include the following: telling you what to do, giving you advice, me in a seat of authority, all the answers, prescriptive fixes.

  • A one size fits all approach.

  • (IS NOT) A good option for someone who isn’t ready to do personal work, create goals, take action, be held accountable, reflect on strengths and values or be even more awesome than they are already.
